This photo was taken in late 2020 at an event that the Hagar Vietnam team helped organise to help reduce vulnerability to abuse. Our wonderful team worked with the Women’s Union of a Vietnamese province and a local secondary school to run a contest with school students from mid-November to early December. Students at the high school were asked to use their creativity to create and present something that demonstrated how they could protect themselves from sexual abuse.

The contest received the participation of a large number of students with nearly 600 entries being received in many different forms such as drawing and acting. By participating, students not only improved their understanding of sexual abuse but also had the opportunity to express their creativity and convey their ideas.

Together with our donors, the Hagar Vietnam team have been able to educate hundreds of high school students about sexual abuse and how to protect themselves!
