One person is sold into slavery

every 27 Seconds

40.3 million people are estimated to be living in slavery right now.

That’s more than at any other time in history

25% of them are children,

62% are in Asia,

71% are women and girls

Trafficking, slavery, and abuse, are some of the most polarising issues of our time. We work in response to these issues by educating communities on how to prevent and recognise trafficking and other forms of abuse. We also provide comprehensive recovery services to survivors.

20% of Cambodian women said their first sexual experience was one of sexual assault

Hagar provides individualistic and comprehensive care plans for each survivor of violence and abuse that enters our programmes across the globe. Together with our donors, we do whatever it takes, for as long as it takes, to help survivors overcome the trauma of their experiences. To date, we have walked the recovery journey with over 33,000 precious women and children.

We know that the figures around slavery, trafficking and abuse are massive. However, with your help, we can continue to transform the lives of survivors like Priya. You can read her story here:
