For three decades, Hagar has walked the whole journey of restoration with thousands of survivors of human trafficking, slavery, and abuse. Through holistic survivor care, trafficking prevention, and systems strengthening, we’ve witnessed incredible transformation as women and girls rebuild their lives.

When Malis walked through the doors of Hagar’s Home of Love in Phnom Penh, Cambodia, she carried deep physical and psychological wounds. She had been trafficked to China at just 16 years old and forced into sexual slavery and domestic servitude.
At Hagar’s Home of Love, Malis slowly began her healing journey.
Two years ago if you’d asked Lailima her hopes and dreams for the future, she would have struggled to find an answer. She was overcome with despair in a forced, abusive marriage, while urgently trying to protect her siblings from a similar fate.
With critical support from Hagar Afghanistan, Lailima has turned her life around.
For years, Tam faced weekly episodes of severe physical and verbal abuse from her husband. Though many in her community encouraged her to leave, she could not bear the thought of abandoning her vulnerable children.
With Hagar’s help, Tam accessed counseling, peer mentorship, and income generation support, which transformed their family.

Creating possibilities for women and children who have endured unimaginable abuse and exploitation is at the heart of Hagar’s mission.
During our 30-year history, we have witnessed remarkable stories of change and transformation.
Hagar’s comprehensive approach spans from rescue through recovery, to reintegration. Not only do we offer a safe haven for survivors to heal, but we walk alongside each woman and child on their pathway to sustainable empowerment. Our job is not complete until each woman and child is thriving and flourishing in their community.
By providing tailored counseling and therapy, medical care, legal aid, education, vocational training, and emotional support, we walk the whole journey of restoration with each individual survivor.
When a woman or child graduates from Hagar, they are equipped with the tools and confidence to rebuild their lives. This journey of transformation opens doors to new beginnings and new possibilities for every woman and child who enters our care.
