Introduction

Abolitionist: A person who supports the ending of slavery

It is so great that you are interested in playing a part in transforming the lives of people who have been in slavery and suffered other forms of severe abuse. Our Youth Abolitionists get to learn more about these global issues, participate in events and fundraise in fun and exciting ways!

Check out this video to learn more about the programme and how to apply.

Last year…

Our Youth Abolitionists made a life-changing difference and raised over $18,300 collectively to help provide counselling to survivors of slavery, trafficking and other forms of abuse in Cambodia.

They also attended inspiring events throughout the year and learnt more about the work of Hagar and the issues they were helping us tackle.

“I loved the online calls and ability to find out about the behind the scenes of helping people. Training day was very well executed.. Fundraising with support from Hagar staff was great and exciting.” – Zara, 2019 Youth Abolitionist

  • Tells us why you want to be a Youth Abolitionist and what you hope to learn about the issues of slavery, trafficking and abuse
  • Tells us what you want to do to raise awareness and funds for our work. Think of something fun that you will enjoy doing E.g. biking a crazy distance, painting and selling art, baking and delivering yummy goodies. We’ll help you with your fundraising later on but just want to hear your ideas!

We can’t wait to have you join us!
