Q & A with Joanne
What’s been the most rewarding job you have done
Working in Turkey among Kurdish women and girls has definitely defined my life. I’ve experienced first-hand how empowering girls and women with education and employment opportunities can transform their lives and the communities they live in.
Where does your passion lie?
I believe in the value of all people.
“Whatever it takes for as long as it takes to restore a broken life” is the way I choose to live my life.
What excites you about being able to work with Hagar?
How cool is it to be able to play a part in restoring the broken lives of women and children who have survived incredible trauma and abuse? They thought they were alone in the world and that no one cared.
So it’s a privilege to be involved in this work that says, “we see you, and we care”.
What is your new role with Hagar? What are you going to be doing?
My role as Northern Territory Fundraiser for Hagar NZ will involve a lot of awareness raising activities, fundraising, and building relationships with people who connect with this work.
Do you like coffee?
No. I love coffee.
How can people get in touch with you?
I can be reached by mobile: 022 043 8091 or email: firstname.lastname@example.org
I’ll look forward to hearing from you!
